AGT Foods is seeking a Merchandiser to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, confident individual with an interest in the movement of our commodities from origin to end-use market and attention to detail of the steps to get it there.

Under the direction of the Division Head, Marketing & Sales, North America Bulk Commodities, the successful applicant will:

• Act as the liaison between AGT Foods and customers around the world, providing market intelligence and commodity expertise
• Execute and promote a profitable and competitive export program including procurement strategies and programs 
• Using analytical and negotiation skills, manage all aspects of sales contracts, risks and freight movement, as well as maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activity
• Assess risk and exercise exceptional judgment in decision-making
• Utilize excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and external clients and customers
• The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, a degree in Commerce/Business Administration or Agriculture or a Business Diploma. Language skills are an asset.

A combination of education and experience will be considered. AGT will train the right personable candidate.
