AGT Food & Ingredients Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will:

• Prepare journal entries
• Coordinate and consolidate the monthly inventory book vs physical adjustments
• Prepare the monthly management reporting on inventory adjustments
• Perform the monthly reconciliation of grain inventory and other various general ledger accounts
• Understand sales related costs (freight, commissions, etc.) and reconcile the liability accounts monthly
• Complete monthly gross margin reporting and analysis
• Assist with variance analysis
• Assist with corporate initiatives as required including note preparation, internal control testing, etc.
• Assist with year-end audit requests
• Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of existing processes
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Skills & Abilities Required:

• At least currently enrolled in the CPA program
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and attention to planning, process, and detail
• Must be a self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience in the Agricultural industry, preferred, but not required
