AGT Foods is seeking a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our Corporate Safety team at our Head Office in Regina, SK.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Track regulatory requirements and update internal procedures and policies
• Maintain and update health and safety manual and other related documents (i.e SOP, SWP, programs)
• Format safety related manuals and documents
• Develop and manage all safety content on the LMS (Learning Management Systems)
• Track certifications and assist with booking 3rd party training
• Support internal and external audits and inspections
• Develop and distribute safety communications
• Participate in safety related meetings and events and assist with the planning
• Maintain safety metrics and produce safety related reports
• Provide support for occurrence investigations

Skills and Abilities

• A strong understanding of workplace safety regulatory requirements
• The ability to translate technical safety requirements into plain language
• A high attention to detail for compliance documentation
• Experience developing content on a LMS software
• The skills to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) efficiently
• The skills to use Adobe Illustrator or similar software
• The ability to manage documentation systems and controlled records
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• The ability to work in a team and collaborate across multiple departments and countries

Qualifications: 

• Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
• 1 - 3 years in a safety, compliance or administrative role
