Pasta Production Engineer - Minot, ND

AGT Foods USA (United Pulse Trading Inc.), a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Pasta Production Engineer to join the team at its Minot, ND, USA production facility.


Position Description:

Engineer milling and pasta production processes. Develop engineering solutions for production of pasta, including planning and implementing measures to increase production quality and productivity. Prepare engineering improvements to the processes of milling, splitting, processing and cleaning of agricultural commodities needed for pasta production. Execute production engineering plans. Develop Subject Matter Expertise in Arbel Production and Processing methods and proprietary Arbel system. Measure and Report Employee performance. Measure and Report efficiency of pasta conversion process. Contribute to day-to-day operation of processing and production plant. Analyze and design improvements to production processes. Assess engineering production expectations. Develop raw materials processing procedures, ensuring agricultural engineering standards are met without undue product loss. Develop engineering procedures and recordkeeping verifying quality of raw materials; trace recall for product from raw material to finished goods; log production parameters and changes. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for various products made in Extrusion Center. Develop production and engineering process flow of product through pasta production. Develop expected production rates. Evaluate and resolve production Bottlenecks. Recommend production improvements. Establish and maintain procedures for efficient and safe handling of all processing inventory, ensuring all proper weights are recorded. Develop agricultural production engineering procedures to record finished product and do mass balance against raw material; Develop engineering procedures and monitor results of scale check weighters; metal detectors; and Ink Jet Coding of packaged goods. Determine product processing parameters including adjustment of all machinery and technology, setting of procedures to ensure maintenance of shipment quality standards. Design and implement pasta facility maintenance and safety including fabrication of repair/spare parts for proprietary equipment. Ensure pasta production complies with food safety (including GFSI) and quality engineering standards for pasta. 


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Production, Food Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Biological Engineering or a related engineering degree and 3 years of experience as a pasta production manager, pasta production engineer, or a related pasta manufacturing manager position.

 

Must possess 3 years of experience with:

  • Milling, splitting, processing and cleaning of agricultural commodities needed for pasta production
  • Food safety (including GFSI) and quality standards for pasta
