AGT Foods is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Regina Head Office team.
The Financial Reporting Analyst (FRA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process. The FRA will be responsible for the information flow in and out of the consolidation software (Onestream). This role will include preparing and/ or reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders. The FRA will be flexible in some of their duties and provide backup to various team members, creating opportunities for breadth and learning within this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly consolidation and financial reporting processes
- Ensure timely and accurate information is provided to stakeholders
- Preparation/ review of journal entries
- Preparation of account reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements including note preparation/ review, financial statement tie outs and rolls, etc
- Assist the financial reporting team with various monthly and quarterly tasks including variance analysis templates, subsidiary consolidation schedule tie outs, etc
- Provide backup coverage to various accounting team members creating excellent learning opportunities and breadth
- Other accounting and finance duties as necessary
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- CPA designation or actively enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel & Outlook
- Attention to planning, process, and detail
- Quick learner
- Desire for continued improvement and understanding
- Able to communicate effectively with different internal groups around the world
