As the Facility Assistant, you will be responsible for tasks associated with receiving, processing and shipping of grain and/or special crops, as well as general labor in and around the facility including light maintenance and repair and general housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take grain samples for quality analysis
  • Prepare, weigh and load railcars and trucks for shipment

Communications Production Specialist - Saskatoon, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a talented Communications Production Specialist to join our team at our Saskatoon, SK corporate office.

Working within the AGT Foods Corporate Affairs team, the Communications Production Specialist will participate in the design and production of graphics and marketing materials to support AGT’s business units and tradeshow projects, create and edit video content, and administer and execute the company’s social media strategy.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director on a day-to-day basis on a variety of corporate communications projects, including:

  • Create graphics, marketing and video materials for advertising campaigns and tradeshows
  • Create and update brochures and marketing materials to support sales activities
  • Create and maintain graphics materials for internal communications activities
  • Create and maintain product packaging layouts for AGT’s retail business units
  • Assist in creating and maintaining websites and website content

Skill Requirements

Financial Reporting Analyst - Regina, SK

AGT Foods is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Regina Head Office team.

Working at the Regina Head Office, the Financial Reporting Analyst (FRA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting process. The FRA will be responsible for preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries. Finally, the individual will contribute significantly to the accounting team by providing backup duties, as necessary.

  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and reporting package

Grain Terminal Operator - Delisle, SK

AGT Foods is hiring Grain Terminal Operators on a permanent full-time basis at our Mega Cleaning Facility and Terminal in Delisle, SK.

Duties include:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Grain Terminal
  • Monitor and operate process equipment and computerized control systems involved with the shipping and receiving of grain products
  • Assist with rail coordination by safely operating a track mobile and/or railcar opener to unload bulk unit trains
  • Perform general housekeeping operations in buildings and terminal grounds as well as light repair and maintenance when required
  • Monitor and manage quality controls, clean/maintain equipment and work floors
  • Identify current/potential maintenance issues (and report them to the Supervisor)
  • Complete scale crosschecks to verify scale weights are regulated, and assist with terminal weigh overs and audits as required
  • Participate in safety meetings, plant inspections, and task observations

Locomotive Operator - Delisle, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a Locomotive Operator to provide safe and efficient rail car switching service at our Cleaning Plant located in Delisle, SK.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the locomotive and belt pack
  • Operating switches and derails, coupling and uncoupling rail cars, managing air hoses, applying and releasing handbrakes

Oat Milling - Various Positions - Aberdeen, SK

AGT FOODS OAT MILLING GP INC., a subsidiary of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., is a value-added oat milling facility focused on the production of a variety of products, including oat groats, flours and other milled oat products, for plant-based human food, specialty ingredient and animal feed products.

Oat Milling Facility Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the mill in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work with the senior management team to establish the overall strategy for the mill
  • Ensure all mill-related projects are on-time and on-budget
  • Develop and direct the implementation of operational programs, processes and policies to meet organizational governance requirements and standards

Oat Milling Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Packaging and storage of products to meet production orders
  • Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment
  • Setting up production equipment
  • Operating forklift in a safe and efficient manner

  • General housekeeping of production area and stocking supplies
  • Pulling samples for micro testing

Oat Milling Quality Assurance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring raw material, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality requirements
  • Gather product samples within the manufacturing environment
  • Conduct inspection and testing on finished product according to specifications
  • Analyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the database
  • Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification
  • Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request
  • Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters

These are full-time positions and will involve rotational shifts in a continuous operation facility and overtime may be required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to work in Canada
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to manage a number of tasks in a complex manufacturing plant environment, including strong conceptual, problem solving and communication skills

Yard Hostler/Shunt Truck Driver - Regina, SK

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Responsible for care and control of the facility yard, containers and equipment
  • Movement and inventory of containers in the yard
  • Monitor traffic to ensure proper locations of containers
  • Ensure outside carriers follow proper procedures while on the property

AGT Foods and Lucent BioSciences are looking for 4 Process Operators.

The Process Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing and handling of raw materials and/or finished products at the new AGT Soileos production facility north of Rosetown.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Actively promote a safe and efficient work environment consistent with good manufacturing practices
  • Operate equipment and provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting and adjustment of the AGT Soileos production process as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines

Position type and expected hours of work:

The R&D Laboratory Technician will be part of the R&D team, reporting directly to R&D Manager of the Saskatoon R&D Centre.
