Responsibilities:

  • Approve credit limits based on payment history and terms
  • Maintain and update customer credit files
  • Create weekly credit reports
  • Perform Compliance checks on new and existing customers as necessary
  • Monitor daily online USA & CDN bank accounts for wire transfers
  • Update daily A/R transactions records and distribute via email
  • Process wire transfer payments to offset customer accounts
  • Check daily cash deposits to ensure accuracy

Senior QA Manager - Extrusion Operations - Minot, ND

AGT Foods is looking for a Senior QA Manager - Extrusion Operations to join our Minot team.

The Senior QA Manager will provide support, guidance and oversight of extrusion production facility Quality and Food Safety systems. They will provide support to Commercialization and Marketing groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises production documentation systems, which includes the control of quality systems documents (policies, procedures, work instructions, record keeping).
  • Coordinate with Food Safety team creating new documents, revising existing documents, determining training needs, overseeing the approval and distribution processes, maintaining document control database, and coordinating document reviews. Manage review, storage and archiving of quality records. Fulfill requests for data and reports (ex. Corporate, environmental).
  • Supports commercialization activities for new products from special batch phase through initial production. Including but not limited to creating manufacturing instructions, inspection requirements, developing record keeping documents and other operational requirements to bring new products from concept to production.
  • Lead and coordinate other Food Safety / Quality program efforts such as Customer Audits, FSSC22000 certification audits, facility verification / validation activities, HACCP / Food Safety Program, Organic Certification, Gluten-Free Certification, GMO Free Certification, Halal, Kosher, Food Defense or Food Security Improvements, etc.
  • Lead Food Safety continuous improvement efforts (complaint reduction, program reassessments, data collection systems, training).
  • Manages product and environmental microbiological testing program.
  • Provides quality and Food Safety training and awareness to plant employees.
  • Provides support and training to Production team in support of product inspection programs, laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, and calibration activities.
  • Manage product formulas by creating/revising plant floor formulas, ensuring alignment with approved formulas and specifications.  Schedule and coordinate audits to ensure formula system integrity.
  • Lead plant internal quality and food safety inspections. Create and coordinate schedule, coordinate training, qualification and calibration of auditors, develop checklists, generate reports and follow-through with corrective action assignees to ensure CARs are completed, effectiveness is verified, and audits are closed.  Participate in programs as an auditor/inspector.
  • Champions plant traceability systems and mock recall exercises for ingredients, packaging and finished product.  Executes plant-scheduled and Corporate-initiated trace exercises.  Leads plant food defense team by conducting team meetings, audits and assessments.
  • Lead investigations of in-plant quality incidents (foreign material, nonconforming product) and consumer complaints, identifying root causes and facilitating corrective action with plant teams.  Interprets and reports consumer complaint data trends and facilitates action plans.
  • Function as HACCP / Food Safety team member responsible for conducting risk assessments and organizing program reassessments for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities and design plans for expanded use of the plant electronic data collection system, anticipating future applications.
  • Cross-train team members in QA tasks to function as back-up in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager. The appropriate responsibilities will be shown to cover critical food safety responsibility
  • Designs and develops work plans for the appropriate AGT Foods Business supporting multiple projects of varying complexity and technical risk.
  • Conduct trials in pilot plant/manufacturing facilities to assess manufacturing capabilities.
  • Initiate product and process improvements.
  • Recommend actions for improvement and assure resolution.
  • Interface and communicate directly with the customer of AGT Food’s products.
  • Communicate at all levels of the organization

Competency Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, or Food Science preferred
  • 2 years of directly relevant experience, 5 years is preferred.
  • Live in either Minot, ND or Regina, SK
  • Strong ability to properly assess risk and prioritize actions accordingly. Able to manage multiple priorities and know when to pull in resources.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships and get work accomplished with and through people at all levels of the organization, differing styles, and multiple functions.
  • Experience in the food industry plant environment with an understanding of manufacturing processes. Extrusion experience preferred.
  • Practical knowledge and application of food safety principles (ex. Regulatory, PCQI, HACCP, FSSC2200, GMPs, food microbiology)
  • Practical knowledge and application of quality systems
  • Strong technical acumen - ability to troubleshoot a problem, involve other stakeholders as necessary, and brainstorm potential root causes.

Commercialization Manager - Remote (U.S)

AGT Foods, is looking for a Commercialization Manager to join our team.

The Commercialization Manager is responsible for delivering large scale projects within specific categories- including but not limited to new platform innovation initiatives and/or highly visible capital and cost out initiatives. They are required to interface with cross functional parties at all levels of the organization- including relevant functional leads in Sales, R&D and Operations, Production & Finance- as well as relevant technical and execution resources and/or field operations. In addition- the Manager will provide regular updates on progress- cost management- and next steps to project sponsors and key stakeholders upon request.

Requirements

  • Lead commercialization efforts for projects across multiple projects.
  • AGT projects are mainly related to plant-based products including but not limited to yellow peas, faba bean, chickpeas, pea protein concentrates and isolates, pea fiber, etc.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scopes- goals- tasks and resource (people and cost) requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional groups; develop methods to monitor and report project progress and provide corrective action if necessary.
  • Initiate the finished good Master data setup and communicate completed information to all stakeholders so all information systems can be properly set up to produce- ship- sell and invoice our products.
  • Support Business and Manufacturing Systems initiatives as required- and support the continuous improvement of the commercialization process through collaboration with key stakeholders and best practice sharing.
  • Accomplish the documentation process and resulting generated information flow from plant/equipment testing, via written reports and updated R&D databases, to effectively communicate manufacturing adjustments, update historical records, and standardize implemented manufacturing procedures across all Operations facilities and within R&D department.
  • Conduct plant trial of both new and revised product formulations to validate proper mixing instructions, ingredient additions, and automation set-up for sequential success in manufacturing said product within a food production environment. Additionally, once a product is released to Operations for commercial production to provide the necessary technical support required for operational success in manufacturing all products produced.
  • Conduct post-plant trial product attribute validation to verify that experimental products, made in a manufacturing environment, meet minimal sensory and stability requirements as defined by the team.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper control samples are present at plant testing for validation comparisons when conducting plant trials.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing technical hurdles via creating and implementing technical solutions associated with newly developed and/or legacy formulations using effective technical knowledge and sound scientific principles.
  • Assume the liaison role between Operations and R&D, which includes being physically present at off-site facilities as necessary to provide technical support as required for Operational success.
  • Maintain a high level of competence and professionalism in a dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Job position is Remote (anywhere in US)

Qualification Requirements:

  • B.S in Food Science (or related discipline) with 7-10 years of experience in food product development and commercialization in Food Industry (B2B experience preferred)
  • Prior experience in pea proteins, extrusion, milling, drying, etc is preferred.

Facility Assistant - Delisle, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for a Facility Assistant to join our team at our Delisle, SK location.

As the Facility Assistant, you will be responsible for tasks associated with receiving, processing and shipping of grain and/or special crops, as well as general labor in and around the facility including light maintenance and repair and general housekeeping. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming product from growers and perform certain grain grading measures to assess its quality
  • Prepare, weigh and load railcars and trucks for shipment

Super B Truck Driver - Regina, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for a Full Time Super B Truck Driver to join our team.

Main Function:

  • Responsible for the operation of AGT Foods tractor trailer power unit(s) and handling various chassis/inter modal/equipment loaded or empty in tractor trailer trucking service.
  • Operation of various heavy equipment required for yard maintenance and container handling.
  • Provide truck and chassis maintenance to the extent possible.
  • Assists the Truck Driver Coordinator in the operation and equipment supply at AGT Foods compounds.

Description of Work Performed:

  • Truck driver will work closely with the various rail inter modal ramps and equipment providers.
  • Develops and implements good coordination and professional working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Operates the equipment to load and off load containers.
  • Provides container chassis maintenance.
  • Maintain daily work and log book records.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or equivalence or suitable work related experience
  • Must have class 1 license with air brake endorsement
  • Must provide current drivers abstract
  • Must be able to pass drug testing
  • Must have the ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently
