AGT Foods is seeking a permanent full-time Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will have knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, and will have demonstrated their ability to input, update, retrieve, maintain, format and transmit information with speed and accuracy. Yard Hostler/Shunt Truck Driver- Regina, SK

AGT Foods a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for a Yard Hostler/Shunt Truck Driver to join our team at our Regina Main location.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Responsible for care and control of the facility yard, containers and equipment
  • Movement and inventory of containers in the yard
  • Monitor traffic to ensure proper locations of containers
  • Ensure outside carriers follow proper procedures while on the property
  • Maintenance/care of equipment (loader/top lift/tractors)
  • Ensure equipment is fuelled at/near end of shift
  • Responsible to document and report major issues to mechanics

Truck Driver - Regina, SK

Main Function:

  • Responsible for the operation of tractor trailer power unit(s) and handling various chassis/intermodal/equipment loaded or empty in tractor trailer trucking service.
  • Operation of various heavy equipment required for yard maintenance and container handling.

Description of Work Performed:

Process Operators - Rosetown, SK

AGT Foods and Lucent BioSciences are looking for 4 Process Operators.

The Process Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing and handling of raw materials and/or finished products at the new AGT Soileos production facility north of Rosetown.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Actively promote a safe and efficient work environment consistent with good manufacturing practices
  • Operate equipment and provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting and adjustment of the AGT Soileos production process as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
  • Provide support for the Quality Department for in-process testing, to ensure that products both adhere to specification and are of uniform quality
  • Obtain product samples and perform QC testing in accordance with established SOPs
  • Operate as a self-starter and demonstrate an ability to work within cross-functional work teams to problem solve, improve processes and procedures, and generally help AGT Lucent to continually improve
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; develop appropriate recommendations, implement action plans, and follow up to ensure effective results
  • Ensure detailed and documented shift logs are prepared for handover to the next shift

Position type and expected hours of work:

These are Full time positions and will involve rotational shifts in a continuous operation facility and overtime may be required.
Between September 2022 and March 2023, three (3) of these positions will be training at our production facility in Humboldt, SK. We will provide a mileage and living allowance at a standard rate for this period for those traveling from Rosetown and area.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Valid drivers licence
  • Ability to work in Canada
  • Ability to operate machinery if required, including forklift, tractor trailer, (Additional training will be provided as needed to successful candidates)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to manage a number of tasks in a complex manufacturing plant environment, including strong conceptual, problem solving and communication skills
  • Must have the capability to interact effectively at all levels of management
  • Demonstrated high degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative and innovation in handling complex technical assignments with minimal supervision
  • First Aid training is a bonus

Additional eligibility qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe working environment, including a working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety or applicable provincial legislation
  • General computer literacy skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, SAP and database applications

Financial Reporting Analyst - Regina, SK

Working at the Regina Head Office, the Financial Reporting Analyst (FRA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting process. The FRA will be responsible for preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries. R&D Laboratory Technician - Saskatoon, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a full time R&D Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Saskatoon, SK R&D facility.

The R&D Laboratory Technician will be part of the R&D team, reporting directly to R&D Manager of the Saskatoon R&D Centre. You will be responsible for tasks associated with sample evaluation, experimentation, data analysis, and documentation, as well as general maintenance of work environment and lab equipment. A successful candidate will need to be thorough and detail oriented, able to successfully maintain records of lab processes and equipment, and generate reports to the relevant R&D stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, labeling, sorting and evaluate incoming samples (food ingredients) with the correct testing equipment, and coordinating with external laboratories for sample testing
  • Assisting with efficient operation of the product Quality Control and R&D lab projects
  • Executing physical and functional analyses of samples as per SOPs, recording observations, and interpreting findings
  • Recording all experimental data and testing results accurately in the specified format (written and electronic)
  • Organizing samples and chemical substances according to specified and safety instructions
  • Ensuring safety guidelines are always adhered to within the laboratory
  • Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
  • Cleaning, maintaining the lab and all that is relevant wherein

Lab Technician Qualifications:

Food Technologist - Saskatoon, SK

The Food Technologist will be part of the R&D team, reporting directly to R&D Manager of the Saskatoon R&D Centre. You will be responsible for trade show support, product development from ideation to commercialization for internal/external customers, resulting in the launch of new food items and/or maintenance of existing food products/ingredients in the portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects according to needs specified. Ensure project follow-up with the R&D project management tools
  • Support trade show and prototyping activities

Duties include:

  • Conducts seed and special crops processing procedures ensuring standards are met without undue loss of product

  • Follow all procedures as developed in the Food Safety Program, Housekeeping, Preventative Maintenance, Re-Work, and monitor all check points where quality can be compromised
  • Perform all basic housekeeping and re-processing functions throughout the facility as needed
  • Agriculture background and general knowledge of equipment
  • Permanent, Full Time and must be able to work evening shifts
  • Applicant should be punctual, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
