Settlements Clerk - Regina, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Settlements Clerk to join our Regina Head Office team.

Duties:

  • Prepares weekly upcoming settlement report to notify grain buyers of purchase contracts due for payment and required documents
  • Ensures all authorizations are in place prior to settling purchase contracts
  • Reconciles grain receipts to purchase contracts and identifies errors or omissions
  • Reconciles regulatory and other deductions applicable to purchase contract
  • Calculates and processes payments based on producer’s instructions
  • Processes cheques, wires and EFT payments
  • Handles all producer, grain buyer and plant admin correspondence via phone or email
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing grain receipts and payments
  • Prepares regulatory reports and processes associated payments
  • Prepares monthly reconciliation reports required for the accounting month end close
  • Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the accounting department

Food Safety Coordinator - Regina, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a Full Time Food Safety Coordinator to join our Regina Head Office team. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Food Safety, the Food Safety Coordinator will support the North American facilities with respect to food safety and quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures implementation of quality and food safety management system programs
  • Reviews and verifies quality and food safety records
  • Maintains document lifecycle in the facility
  • Participates in the review of hazard analysis and critical control point following HACCP principles
  • Initiates investigation activities triggered by internal non-conformances, customer complaints, and audits
  • Able to manage food safety system documentation
  • Coordinates with key personnel to identify actions to be taken to address food safety issues
  • Conducts facility audits and inspections as per defined frequency and as needed
  • Acts as audit guide during third party audits
  • Ensures the facility’s inspection readiness
  • Coordinates QFSMS issues during food safety meetings and toolbox meetings
  • Prepares quality and food safety data for trend analysis and monitoring
  • Participates in other validation and verification activities, as needed
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the Corporate Food Safety Manager
  • Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture

Competency Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science, Food Science, Agriculture, or any equivalent related science program
  • Above average knowledge and understanding of applicable quality and food safety management systems standards (GFSI, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, Gluten-Free); product-specific standards (Kosher, HALAL, Organic, NonGMO)

Food Safety Manager - Minot, ND

AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. is looking for a Food Safety Manager to join our team in Minot, North Dakota.

Main Functions

  • Manages, verifies, and ensures effective implementation of quality and food safety management systems (QFSMS) in the facility
  • Determines and implements initiatives for compliance and improvement of quality and food safety programs in the facility
  • Provides direction and ensures implementation of quality and food safety management systems across AGT facilities
  • Drives initiatives for compliance and Continuous Process Improvement of quality and food safety programs 
  • Keeps up on changes of applicable industry issues and regional/global food safety regulations & trends

Competency Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science, Food Science, Agriculture, or any related science program
  • Minimum 3-year experience in supervisory or managerial role in food industry

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective implementation of quality and food safety management system (QFSMS) programs in the facility 
  • Leads team in facilitating investigations, corrective actions, and internal auditing
  • Manages document lifecycle in the facility 
  • Identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of QFSMS in the facility 
  • Ensures (Group/Facility) Management Reviews are conducted as per defined frequency, prepares agenda, presentation and minutes of Management Review.  
  • Gathers KPI reports, monitors and tracks QFS performance (KPI’s) of facility to report to Top Management  
  • Acts as key contact for QA/FS in the facility to liaise with customers and partners regarding quality and food safety concerns; ensures timely completion of customer questionnaires, document requests, inquiries, and complaints 
  • In collaboration with Purchasing and Customer Relations, manages Supplier Quality Management program 
  • Tracks and monitors completion of action items arising from internal deviations (CARs), customer complaints (CSCARs), internal and external audits (CAPA), and other action items; and verifies effectiveness of implementation   
  • Chairs Facility Food Safety Team and ensures continuous training is provided to Facility Food Safety Team members 
  • Regularly communicates with Facility Manager, Operations Manager, Research and Development Director, and Director of Operations to gather inputs on issues affecting quality and food safety, and identify action items applicable to the facility to comply with QFS requirements
  • Ensures HACCP Plan is validated and verified in applicable AGT facilities 
  • Leads Plant FS audit team to conduct facility audits and inspections as per defined frequency and as needed
  • Reviews and approves QFSMS documents that are created from Corporate Food Safety and/or local Food Safety
  • Acts as audit guide during third party audits 
  • Trains and motivates Food Safety Coordinators and Food Safety Team to effectively execute tasks assigned to Food Safety 
  • Ensures resources are determined and reported to Operations Manager for implementation of QFSMS in the facility 
  • Leads the process of Continual Process improvement at the plant level
  • Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture

Key Initial Deliverables

  • Within first 3 months:  Identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of QFSMS
  • Within first 6 months:  Standardizes food safety reporting, bench marking, and documentation for facility
  • Within first 12 months: Develop a plan and budget for Food Safety department for the following calendar year

Super B Truck Driver - Regina/Saskatoon, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for a Full Time Super B Truck Driver to join our team.

Main Function

  • Responsible for the operation of AGT Foods tractor trailer power unit(s) and handling various chassis/intermodal/equipment loaded or empty in tractor trailer trucking service
  • Operation of various heavy equipment required for yard maintenance and container handling
  • Provide truck and chassis maintenance to the extent possible
  • Assists the Truck Driver Coordinator in the operation and equipment supply at AGT Foods compounds

Description of Work Performed

  • Truck driver will work closely with the various rail inter modal ramps and equipment providers
  • Develops and implements good coordination and professional working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Operates the equipment to load and off load containers
  • Provides container chassis maintenance
  • Maintain daily work and log book records
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalence or suitable work related experience
  • Must have class 1 license with air brake endorsement
  • Must provide current drivers abstract
  • Must be able to pass drug testing
  • Must have the ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently

AGT Foods USA, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for full-time General Labourers / Warehouse Workers to join its team at its location in Minot, ND.

Duties:

  • loading containers of bagged product for export
  • operating automated bagging and processing equipment in shipping areas
  • basic warehouse duties
  • must follow all policies as developed in the Food Safety Program
  • certain individuals will be responsible for Housekeeping / Sanitation program on a weekly basis
  • must perform all basic housekeeping and re-processing functions throughout the facility as needed

Applicant should be punctual, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work flexible hours.
