This position is responsible for the control of Food Safety documents, as well as logistics, bills of lading, and inventory for shipping of product out of warehouse.

Duties:

  • Control equipment and bills of lading for loading product out of warehouse

Employment Requirements:

Canola and Wheat Merchandiser - Regina, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Canola and Wheat Merchandiser to join our Head Office team located in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will have experience in the movement of bulk vessel shipments from producer to end-use markets.  Under the direction of the Division Head of North America, the successful applicant will: 

  • Develop and foster client and broker relationships globally providing market intelligence and commodity merchandising expertise, with an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, geopolitical and trade execution risks and competitor activity
  • Execute and promote a profitable and competitive export program including procurement strategies and programs for Canola and Wheat  
  • Manage all aspects of sales contracts, producer and commercial contracting, positions, foreign exchange, quality spreads, and inland freight movements as well as bulk vessel charter party knowledge.
  • Monitor and implement hedging strategies in both the futures and cash markets, carrying costs, basis, flat and futures positions
  • Utilize excellent communication skills, definitive and balanced judgment, analytical skills and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal team members and external clients and customers

The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in Commerce/Business or Agriculture.

Food Safety Coordinator - Regina, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a Full Time Food Safety Coordinator to join our Regina head office team. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Food Safety, the Food Safety Coordinator will support the North American facilities with respect to food safety and quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures implementation of quality and food safety management system programs
  • Reviews and verifies quality and food safety records
  • Maintains document lifecycle in the facility
  • Participates in the review of hazard analysis and critical control point following HACCP principles
  • Initiates investigation activities triggered by internal non-conformances, customer complaints, and audits
  • Able to manage food safety system documentation
  • Coordinates with key personnel to identify actions to be taken to address food safety issues
  • Conducts facility audits and inspections as per defined frequency and as needed

Main Function

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of AGT Foods tractor trailer power unit(s) and handling various container chassis, intermodal equipment loaded or empty, or grain trailer movement using tractor trailer trucking service

Description of Work Performed

  • This position will be focused on hauling containers on chassis from both the CN and CP Rail yards as well as potentially other off rail ramp container storage locations
  • Will complete daily safety inspections of the vehicle(s) being operated
  • Must maintain accurate Electronic Log Book for compliance purposes
  • Will be required to complete data submission through smart phone/tablet or paperwork as required
  • Develops and implements good coordination and professional working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Will primarily be local in town haulage.  Highway deliveries may be required

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalence or suitable work related experience

Technical Sales Representative - AGT Foods USA

AGT Foods USA, a division of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. (TSX:AGT), is a value-added processor of pulse-based ingredients including pulse (lentils, chickpeas, beans and peas) flours, proteins and fibers. AGT Foods USA's Ingredient Division features an ingredient manufacturing facility in Minot, ND, producing over 140,000 mt of pulse-based ingredients, servicing customers throughout North America and around the world.

Position:

Create and deliver distinctive value to AGT Foods by working with the division director and current sales team to develop and deploy strategic sales planning and goal setting within the food ingredient space, focusing on both consumer packaged goods companies, start-up companies and foodservice/school lunch programs. The Technical Sales Representative will work with customers on project development, general technical support, sales execution and management. AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. is looking for a Food Safety Manager to join our team in Minot, North Dakota.

Main Functions

  • Manages, verifies, and ensures effective implementation of quality and food safety management systems (QFSMS) in the facility
  • Determines and implements initiatives for compliance and improvement of quality and food safety programs in the facility
  • Provides direction and ensures implementation of quality and food safety management systems across AGT facilities

  • Acts as key contact for QA/FS in the facility to liaise with customers and partners regarding quality and food safety concerns; ensures timely completion of customer questionnaires, document requests, inquiries, and complaints 
  • In collaboration with Purchasing and Customer Relations, manages Supplier Quality Management program 
  • Tracks and monitors completion of action items arising from internal deviations (CARs), customer complaints (CSCARs), internal and external audits (CAPA), and other action items; and verifies effectiveness of implementation   
  • Chairs Facility Food Safety Team and ensures continuous training is provided to Facility Food Safety Team members 
  • Regularly communicates with Facility Manager, Operations Manager, Research and Development Director, and Director of Operations to gather inputs on issues affecting quality and food safety, and identify action items applicable to the facility to comply with QFS requirements
