Owned and operated by MobilGrain, Big Sky Rail (BGS) is a 250 mile railroad located in
the west central
region of Saskatchewan.
Big Sky Rail (BGS) runs north and south from Delisle to Beechy, and east and west from
Macrorie area to
Laporte. BGS has a running rights agreement with CN, allowing our crews and equipment to interchange
directly into Saskatoon’s CN Chappell Yard and providing access to our affiliate railroad, Last Mountain
Railway (LMR).
With our close proximity to Saskatoon, we offer convenient storage solutions for empty oil tanks,
potash, coal, and other types of railcars. Located in the heart of Saskatchewan’s best agriculture
farmland, BGS takes local grain from multiple third-party facilities to markets across the globe.
